Hi and Welcome to HowtoSpeakGerman.net!

I created this site because I'm just like you. About a year ago now, I decided I was going to learn German. Not being one to waste time, I set about finding the simplest, easiest and most comprehensive ways to learn German. So I went on the internet (Much like you have probably been doing) to see what I could find. I bought just about every course I could and studied up.

I now highly recommend Rocket German to everyone who asks me about which package to buy. But recently, I've had a lot of people ask me about the best way to use Rocket German. You see, while it is excellent, there are a lot of components to it. And if you're not experienced at learning languages, you can quickly become confused.

So what I've done is put together a report on how to most efficiently use Rocket German. If you purchase it from the link below, email me your receipt and I'll forward you the bonus right away.

If you have already purchased Rocket German, but would like the report anyway, email me and maybe we can come to some sort of arrangement, but to guarantee your copy, use the following link:

Rocket German is the "new kid on the block" and I wish it had come out earlier! Unlike all the other programs I found, Rocket German combines both audio and software, in the one package.

I found this great, because I could play the games on my computer if I was feeling bored and then I could listen to the 13 hours of mp3's while I was on the way to work or even just going for a jog.

Rocket German is also great because it focuses on actual spoken German. While there is a large grammar guide, I suggest you forget about that and just focus on the audio and software. Thanks to Rocket German, I was told quite a few times that I was actually speaking "real" German. Something the Germans don't hear very often in foreigners.

The forum is also handy, because if you have a question or just need a hand with something, there is always a native German speaker around to help you out.

Strangely enough, this is also the cheapest product, but it's also my favorite, which is pretty cool, as a lot of the other products are very pricey.

While it's definitely not for the cheapskates out there, (Not allowed to mention name) is quite potent. It is software based, which means you have to sit at your computer and learn by using the software.

The software is pretty easy to use and I found it quite useful. The only downside is that there are 3 parts to _____ _____ and you have to pay again and again if you want them all.

I only ever bought the part 1 and I was a little disappointed with how much I could learn. I think to get the full benefit of this, you would need to buy the full 3 part version, which would get quite expensive at around 5 times Rocket German

So while it is a good package for those of you who have large wallets, for everyone else, I recommend Rocket German.

Last, and least is Unforgettable Languages: German. This may be a good enough product to learn German, I just didn't find it fun enough.

The previous two products were very well put together, this one felt a bit bland in comparison.

On the upside. UL: German promises to teach you over 1350 words! They also have a system that they claim helps words stick in your head. I found it worked after learning a few words, but I'm not sure if I could remember 1350 words that way.

The price is not too excessive, if Rocket German was not around and you were on a budget, then I would recommend this product for certain.

However, Rocket German is the clear winner, so Unforgettable Languages receives an average 3 beers!
